Lowville Streetscape

The Lowville Streetscape project redesigned the major thoroughfare to improve pedestrian safety, traffic calming, and beautification, enhancing the overall community experience. The schematic design prioritized safe crossing areas for students of the local K-12 school, connecting them to the commercial core of Lowville’s village and surrounding neighborhoods.

Traffic calming measures were designed to slow vehicle speeds and improve safety for pedestrians. The design also included a new, welcoming entry to Veterans’ Memorial Park, enhancing the park's visibility and access. This project was completed as part of the Downtown Redevelopment Initiative, led by Camiros Ltd, with support from Steele Landscape Architecture. The streetscape improvements contribute to a more vibrant, pedestrian-friendly environment that encourages walking, supports local businesses, and strengthens community connectivity.
