Salmon Creek Park Resiliency Pilot

Salmon Creek Park Resiliency Pilot

Steele Landscape Architecture developed a resiliency pilot concept plan for Salmon Creek Park in Hilton, New York, addressing the park's vulnerability to severe flooding. The plan integrates traditional park amenities with resilient shoreline designs, ecological enhancements, and kayak access.

Developed in collaboration with Bergmann Associates, the concept is part of the Monroe County CLEAR Plan and serves as a model for retrofitting smaller community parks into flood-resilient ecological assets. The design aims to improve the park's flood resilience while preserving recreational opportunities and enhancing the ecological health of Salmon Creek’s shoreline.
